There are two kinds of people in the world. Actually, a better way to put it would be to say, ‘there are two ways of being in the world’: loving, or being afraid to love. Interestingly, both of them arise out of the same theme: whether you feel your needs will be met or not… Continue reading There Are Two Kinds of People…
Frustrated with your love life?
In a love-slump?
Do you imagine you might be sabotaging your loving relationships?
Do you feel unworthy of true love?
Maybe you feel that you have to ‘settle’, always choose the wrong partner or love interest …?
Ultimately, do you want a change, a way to fix your love life (or lack of one)?!
(Love being a given,) what might most people assume as being the answer to that?
…[apparently, it’s] forgiveness.
I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with forgiveness; after all, it does remove barriers/ illusions and wanton allusions, but where concern regarding forgiveness can be skewed is when one attaches a hope or expectation to it, a (conscious or unconscious) desire that you’ll be conferred with some manner of ‘cosmic prosperity’ as a result, that’ll it’ll be bestowed upon you by some benevolent being outside of yourself as a reward (for good and proper, quantifiably admirable behaviour).
What do you really ‘have’ to do?
It can be especially difficult to practice self-love and self-esteem, when distracted by the discord one might see in what appears to be happening around them (or when visited by the feeling that things seem to be moving – ‘progressing’? – mind-numbingly slowly).
It (~ what you’re considering) ‘seems’ like the thing to do, right?
…I’ll let the doctors handle it – they know best.
…I’m getting bored of this relationship – I think I’ll ease my way out.
…I’ll buy those chips – it’s not like I can’t afford the two bucks.
…I refuse to accept this – it’s not like there’s an alternative (…?)
But what if the truth of the matter is that ‘what feels right’ is just what’s familiar? (And what if what’s familiar isn’t actually doing you any favours?)
There’s no such thing as being a psychic individual. Why would I say that, when people describe me as psychic? Because, as an ‘individual’, it isn’t possible. Without an appreciation of my connection to the Universe /lifedream /Spirit /Nature and other souls I’m connected to, I’m no more psychic than you are. No offence…
I could just as accurately say that I’m no less psychic than you are. ‘Psychic’ is, in fact, a wholly natural condition of our Being (it’s also a Holy natural condition of our being, but that’s perhaps a topic for another post). In other words, you’re as psychic anyone. Do I have anything to back that up?
Whether it’s money, love, or any other form of Abundance, don’t worry about what is (or isn’t) coming to you, concentrate on what it is that you’re in a position to put out to the world (and the rest will take care of itself).
I took a shamanic earthwalk the other day (~ a walkabout vision quest in nature), and afterwards, as part of ‘being the change I want to see in the world’, I was guided to ask, “Why do people litter?”
(Although I realize the better question might be, “Why does it bother me so much?”)
Symbolically, tossing litter is motivated by an unconscious impulse to clear one’s mind. Funny enough, nature can help us with that, but many of us don’t know how to take advantage of what She offers.
‘Because it seems I’ve been hurt or experienced such fear while living it, how can my lifedream be valuable? How can something that seems so out of balance in its presentation of grief and pain be worth anything?’
Whether it’s physical, emotional or spiritual, ‘suffering’ is a soul-level tool for (not directly providing, but) accessing information; it focuses and directs our attentions (sometimes by way of diversion).
It motivates Profound self-reflection, which in its right medicine inspires us to recognize and stand up for what we Believe in, regardless of the opinions, judgements or (dis)approval of others or our conditioned selves. With the benefit of those insights, we’re actually able to move past self-pity and cynicism, be instilled with clarity, come into alignment with our own strength and Beauty, and recognize and be motivated by our own Divine personal purpose.
